The idea of starting a company dedicated to mapping the future came to our founder Lars Tvede as he was writing the first edition of the Supertrends book. The difficulty he experienced in gathering information prompted him to look for a better way to do that, free from bias and political interests, accurate, fast and accessible from anywhere. How to predict the most likely future, then? By crowdsourcing information directly from the true creators and experts of the technologies and innovations that are and will continue to shape the future of businesses, organizations and entire industries.
The “wisdom of the crowd” theory assumes that large crowds are collectively smarter than individual experts. It asserts that the collective knowledge and opinions of a group are better at decision-making, problem-solving, and innovating than those of an individual, increasing also forecasting accuracy.

What we are trying to create is no small feat, and it wouldn’t be possible without the incredible team behind Supertrends. Our team is growing rapidly and represents eight nationalities, speak ten languages, and work from four different countries.
